Kuparimalmista is a Finnish term referring to copper ore. Copper ore is any rock or mineral deposit containing sufficient copper to be mined economically. Copper is a vital metal with a wide range of applications, primarily due to its excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and resistance to corrosion.

The Earth's crust contains copper, but it is typically found in low concentrations. Economically viable deposits occur when copper minerals are concentrated through geological processes.
