Kuormitins is a Finnish term used to describe devices and systems that apply, control, or measure load on a test specimen or structure. In engineering and materials science, kuormitins refers specifically to load applicators—such as hydraulic, pneumatic, or servo-electric actuators—that can deliver axial, bending, or torsional loading. They are often part of a testing machine or universal testing machine (UTM).
