Kuituvärjäys, or fiber dyeing, is a dyeing technique where the coloring process occurs before the fibers are spun into yarn or woven into fabric. Unlike piece dyeing, where a finished textile is dyed, kuituvärjäys ensures that the dye penetrates deep into the individual fibers, resulting in excellent colorfastness and a more uniform hue.

The process typically involves immersing loose fibers, such as wool, cotton, or synthetic materials, in a dye bath.
