The term "kudostekijällä" is a Finnish word that translates to "tissue factor" in English. Tissue factor, also known as thromboplastin or factor III, is a protein that plays a crucial role in the blood coagulation cascade. It is a transmembrane protein found in the subendothelial space of blood vessels, particularly in fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and monocytes. Under normal circumstances, tissue factor is not in direct contact with circulating blood.
