Korrózióvédelem refers to the methods and processes used to prevent or slow down the degradation of materials, particularly metals, due to chemical or electrochemical reactions with their environment. This deterioration, known as corrosion, can significantly weaken structures, compromise functionality, and lead to premature failure. The primary goal of korrózióvédelem is to extend the lifespan and maintain the integrity of metallic components and structures.

Various techniques fall under the umbrella of korrózióvédelem.
