koppaus
Koppaus is a traditional therapy originating in ancient Egypt and Greece, also practiced in China and other parts of the world. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The practitioner typically warms the inside of a cup, often made of glass, bamboo, or ceramic, and then quickly presses it onto the skin. As the air inside the cup cools, it creates a vacuum, drawing the skin and superficial tissue upwards into the cup.
There are two main types of koppaus: dry koppaus and wet koppaus, also known as blood koppaus.
Proponents of koppaus suggest it can be beneficial for a range of conditions, including pain relief, inflammation
