Koolsla is a salad made from finely shredded raw cabbage mixed with a dressing. In Dutch it is called koolsla or koolsalade and is commonly served as a side dish. The basic version uses green or white cabbage; red cabbage is also used, and shredded carrot is a frequent addition.
