Konformaali, or conformality, is a property of a map or a geometric structure that preserves angles locally. In mathematics, a conformal map between domains is one that preserves the angle between any two intersecting curves at a point, up to orientation, and scales lengths by a point-dependent factor.

In the complex plane, a central fact is that a holomorphic function with nonzero derivative is conformal: it preserves angles and orientation at points where f'(z) ≠ 0. Conversely, in two dimensions every orientation-preserving conformal map is holomorphic, while orientation-reversing conformal maps are anti-holomorphic.
