Jobne is a small settlement located in the Nkomazi Local Municipality of Mpumalanga, South Africa. The name "Jobne" is derived from the Tsonga language, spoken by the local majority, meaning "place of the voice".

The settlement is situated in the distant hills of the East Rand, far from the urbanised areas of Johannesburg and Pretoria. It is surrounded by rolling hills and vast savannahs, providing an expansive natural landscape.

Jobne has a relatively small and dispersed population, with most of its residents engaged in subsistence farming and small-scale cattle herding. The local economy relies greatly on informal trading and local barter systems, with many families supplementing their incomes through small-scale manufactures. Transportation for the residents is available through regular bus services connecting the settlement to major cities and shopping centers.

The area is rich in diverse and endemic flora, meaning that many unique plant species are found within the vicinity of Jobne. Several unsuccessful mining ventures have attempted to extract various minerals in the area, with little success due to several environmental, geological, and economical factors.
