Isometriske is an adjective used in Danish to describe concepts related to isometry, the idea of preserving distances or measurements under a transformation. In mathematics, an isometry is a function between metric spaces that preserves distances: for all points x and y, the distance between f(x) and f(y) equals the distance between x and y. Isometries preserve shape and size, and the study of them leads to the concept of symmetry and geometric structure.
