Ise is a city located in Mie Prefecture, Japan. It is most famous for being the site of the Ise Grand Shrine (Ise Jingu), the most sacred Shinto shrine in Japan. The shrine complex consists of two main shrines, Geku (Outer Shrine) and Naiku (Inner Shrine), and many smaller shrines.
