An irrepairable is a term used to describe an object or system that has sustained damage beyond the point of effective or economical repair. This classification is often applied to items where the cost of restoring functionality would exceed the value of the item itself, or where the damage is so fundamental that repair is technically impossible.

The concept of irrepairability is not absolute and can depend on various factors, including the availability of replacement parts, specialized skills, and the perceived worth of the item. In many contexts, such as insurance claims, items are declared irrepairable when the cost of repair is greater than the item's pre-damage value. This is sometimes referred to as being "totaled."
