Interculturals refers to the practices, individuals, and phenomena associated with intercultural interaction across cultural boundaries. The term covers people who identify with multiple cultures, communities that engage in cross-cultural exchange, and programs designed to improve understanding between cultures. It spans fields such as intercultural communication, education, business, migration, diplomacy, and tourism.

Key concepts include culture as a system of meanings and norms that shape behavior; intercultural competence, which combines dispositions (openness, curiosity, respect), knowledge of cultural norms, and communication skills (listening, perspective-taking, adaptation). Attitudes such as ethnocentrism and cultural relativism influence interaction. Acculturation, stereotyping, and prejudice are common dynamics in intercultural contact. Effective intercultural engagement often relies on dialogue, empathy, and flexible problem-solving.

Approaches to developing interculturals include formal training in intercultural communication, study abroad and international exchange programs, workplace diversity initiatives, and mediation or conflict-resolution efforts. In practice, intercultural work aims to reduce misunderstandings, improve collaboration, and foster inclusive environments, while acknowledging power imbalances, historical contexts, and social inequalities.
