imupumppaamo
Imupumppaamo, often translated as a sewage pumping station or lift station, is a facility used in wastewater management. Its primary function is to lift sewage from a lower elevation to a higher elevation, allowing it to flow by gravity to a treatment plant or another part of the sewer system. This is particularly necessary in areas where the natural topography does not permit gravity flow for the entire sewage network.
These stations typically consist of a wet well, which collects incoming sewage, and one or more pumps.
