Igani, also known as the Igni or the People of the Fire, are a nomadic indigenous group primarily inhabiting the arid plains and volcanic regions of the eastern continent. Their name is derived from their ancestral reverence for fire, which they believe is a sacred element imbued with life-giving and purifying properties. Historically, the Igni have been known for their exceptional metalworking skills, particularly in crafting tools, weapons, and intricate jewelry from volcanic ores.

Their social structure is organized into autonomous clans, each led by an elder council, with decisions made through consensus. The Igni maintain a deep spiritual connection to the land, practicing animistic beliefs that attribute spirits to natural phenomena, including mountains, rivers, and particularly, the volcanoes that dot their territory. Their traditional ceremonies often involve fire dancing and offerings to appease the elemental spirits.

The Igni lifestyle is characterized by their nomadic herding of hardy, desert-adapted livestock, such as the horned goat and the fire-mane mare. They follow migratory patterns dictated by seasonal rains and grazing availability.
