högkontrastlägen
Högkontrastlägen, also known as high contrast modes, are accessibility features available in many operating systems and applications. Their primary purpose is to improve readability for users who have difficulty perceiving distinctions between colors or low contrast text. These modes achieve this by altering the color scheme to use a limited palette, typically featuring very dark backgrounds and very bright foreground elements, or vice versa. This extreme difference in luminance makes text and user interface elements stand out more clearly. For example, a common high contrast theme might use black text on a white background, or white text on a black background. Some systems offer multiple high contrast themes to choose from, allowing users to select the option that best suits their visual needs. Enabling a high contrast mode can significantly benefit individuals with visual impairments such as cataracts, glaucoma, or certain types of color blindness. It simplifies the visual information presented on the screen, reducing eye strain and making it easier to navigate and interact with digital content.
