Homotopirymä is a Finnish term that translates roughly to "homotopy theory" or "homotopy groups" in English. It is a branch of algebraic topology that studies topological spaces through the lens of continuous deformations. The core idea is to compare spaces by determining if one can be continuously stretched or deformed into another.

The fundamental concept in homotopirymä is the "homotopy." Two continuous maps between topological spaces are considered homotopic if one can be continuously transformed into the other.
