hollantilainen

Hollantilainen is the Finnish demonym for a person from the Netherlands, or for someone of Dutch nationality. The term is formed from Hollanti, the Finnish name historically used for the Netherlands, together with the suffix -lainen, meaning “from” or “connected with.” In contemporary Finnish, hollantilainen is used as both a noun and an adjective; the plural form is hollantilaiset.
