Gurudisciple is a term used to describe a person who studies under and follows a guru, a spiritual teacher or mentor, within various Indian religious and philosophical traditions. The relationship centers on the transmission of knowledge, ethical guidance, and the practical disciplines required for spiritual development. While not a formal title in most traditions, the term captures a common dynamic of mentorship and devotion.

The word combines guru and disciple, and while gurudisciple is not a standard label in canonical texts, it is used to describe the student-teacher dynamic across Hindu, Buddhist, and Sikh-inspired lineages. In these contexts, pedagogy emphasizes oral instruction, living example, and lineage (parampara) as conduits for teachings and practices.

Roles and responsibilities typically include seeking guidance, studying scriptures or core teachings, and engaging in disciplined practice such as meditation, prayer, or devotional rites.
