Fältlinje is a Swedish term that translates to "field line" in English. It is a concept used in physics, particularly in the study of fields like electric fields, magnetic fields, and gravitational fields. Fältlinjer are imaginary lines drawn to represent the direction and magnitude of a field at various points in space.

In the context of electric fields, fältlinjer originate from positive charges and terminate on negative charges. The direction of the fältlinje at any point indicates the direction of the electric force that would be exerted on a positive test charge placed at that point.
