Frisbeet is a term sometimes used to refer to Frisbee, a circular plastic flying disc used in throwing and catching games. The more common English term is Frisbee or flying disc; Frisbee is also a brand name originally from Wham-O.

The modern disc was developed in the mid-20th century. Walter Morrison and Wham-O introduced the Pluto Platter in 1957, and soon after the product was marketed as Frisbee, a name inspired by the Frisbie Pie Company that sparked tossing games in the U.S. The popularization continued through schools, parks, and organized leagues in the 1960s and beyond.

Design and flight: Most frisbeet discs are circular, with a flat to slightly domed surface and a rounded rim. They typically measure around 27 cm in diameter and weigh roughly 170 g, though weights vary by sport and model. Flight is produced by spin, lift, and air resistance; a well-thrown disc gains stability from gyroscopic effects and follows a curved path.

Uses and sports: Frisbeet discs are used for casual tossing and a variety of disc sports. Major organized formats include Ultimate (team game with end-zone scoring), Disc Golf (target-based with baskets), Freestyle (trick throws and catches), and Distance events.

Standards and governance: International events are overseen by the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF). Individual sports have separate bodies such as the PDGA for disc golf and USA Ultimate for Ultimate. Equipment standards vary by sport, and many manufacturers produce sport-specific discs.
