Folyószámlahitelezés, often translated as current account overdraft or checking account overdraft, is a type of credit facility available in Hungary. It is linked to a holder's current bank account (folyószámla) and allows the account holder to withdraw more money than is currently available in the account, up to a pre-approved limit. This creates a negative balance on the account, which is essentially a short-term loan from the bank.
