Filtraatti is a Finnish rock band that emerged from the city of Tampere in 2005. The group takes its name from the Finnish word "filtraatti", meaning filter, a reference to their aim of “filtering” mainstream rock with avant‑garde influences. The founding members were guitarist and vocalist Jukka L., bassist Timo H., and drummer Kim T. They were soon joined by keyboardist Mika P., creating a quintet that mixed hard‑edge riffs with atmospheric synthesizers.
