It is also known as sclerosing mesenteritis or mesenteric fibrosis. The exact cause of fibrosissal is unknown, but it is believed to be an autoimmune disorder, where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue, leading to scarring and fibrosis.

The disease typically begins with abdominal pain, weight loss, and diarrhea. As it progresses, symptoms may include shortness of breath, swelling in the legs, and jaundice. Fibrosissal can affect people of all ages, but it is most commonly diagnosed in adults between the ages of 30 and 50.

Diagnosis of fibrosissal is challenging due to its rarity and the lack of specific diagnostic tests. It is often suspected based on a combination of symptoms, physical examination, and imaging tests such as ultrasound or CT scan. A liver biopsy may be performed to confirm the diagnosis.

There is currently no cure for fibrosissal, and treatment is primarily focused on managing symptoms and slowing the progression of the disease. Medications such as corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and antiviral drugs may be used to reduce inflammation and slow the progression of fibrosis. In severe cases, liver transplantation may be considered.

Fibrosissal is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for improving outcomes and quality of life. Further research is needed to better understand the underlying mechanisms of the disease and develop more effective treatments.
