evaluointijärjestystä
Evaluointijärjestys, or evaluation order, refers to the sequence in which operations are performed within a mathematical or programming expression. This order is crucial for determining the correct outcome of calculations and the execution flow of code. In mathematics, the standard order of operations, often remembered by acronyms like PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction) or BODMAS (Brackets, Orders, Division and Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction), dictates the priority of different mathematical symbols. Parentheses or brackets are evaluated first, followed by exponents or orders, then multiplication and division (from left to right), and finally addition and subtraction (also from left to right).
Programming languages generally adhere to a similar, albeit often more extensive, set of rules for evaluation
