Etnográficos is a term used in Spanish and Portuguese to refer to things related to ethnography, the field of study that investigates cultures and social practices through immersive, in-depth fieldwork. The form etnográficos is typically used as an adjective (etnográficos estudios, etnográficos trabajos) or, less commonly, to describe ethnographic materials and outputs. In many contexts, it denotes ethnographic studies or data collected through ethnographic methods.

Ethnographic research aims to understand how people live, think, and organize their social worlds from within their own norms and perspectives. Core methods include long-term fieldwork, participant observation, informal and formal interviews, life histories, and analysis of cultural artifacts and everyday practices. Researchers produce field notes, recordings, photographs, and other materials, which are analyzed qualitatively to identify patterns, themes, and context-dependent meanings. Applications and outputs: Etnográfico work informs disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, education, and public policy, as well as market research and user experience. Outputs include ethnographies—narrative, in-depth studies of particular groups—alongside methodological debates, comparative studies, and policy-relevant reports. Strengths of ethnographic approaches lie in producing nuanced, context-rich understandings of social life; limitations include time demands, concerns about generalizability, and potential observer effects.
