Esterlendiinde is a rural municipality and ecological reserve in the northern part of Veridia, a fictional country used for illustrative purposes. It covers about 48 square kilometers and centers on the Esterlendiinde valley and river system. The area is administered by a municipal council within the Veridian regional framework.

The name ester­lendiinde derives from the local Veridian language, combining estere meaning east, lendi meaning bend or curve, and inde meaning place. The term appears in regional records dating to the early 19th century and has been used in official documents since the mid-20th century.

Geography and environment: The landscape features deciduous forest, river terraces, and peat bogs. The climate is temperate, with mild summers and cold winters; precipitation is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year. The Esterlendiinde Forest Reserve protects several endemic plant communities and provides habitat for migratory birds.

History and development: The area was settled during the early colonial period and grew around a historic river crossing. In 1976, a portion of the region was designated as an ecological reserve, with conservation goals reinforced by later land-use plans and community rewilding projects.

Demographics and economy: Population is about 3,900 as of 2023, with speakers of a local dialect alongside the national Veridian language. The economy relies on sustainable forestry, mixed agriculture (notably potatoes and berries), small-scale crafts, and eco-tourism focused on trails and wildlife observation.

Governance and culture: The municipality is governed by a council of seven members. It is known for the annual River Festival, a community event emphasizing stewardship of natural resources, and for sites such as the Esterlendiinde Forest Reserve and the Old Bridge overlook.
