ensuim
Ensuim is a proposed, hypothetical element with the symbol Es and atomic number 121. It would be the first element in the g-block of the periodic table. Theoretical predictions suggest that ensuim would be a superactinide, falling below lawrencium in group 3. Due to its extreme atomic number, ensuim is not expected to be naturally occurring and would likely be highly radioactive with a very short half-life, making its synthesis and study exceptionally challenging. Current scientific understanding of its properties is based solely on theoretical calculations and extrapolations of periodic trends. Researchers continue to explore methods for synthesizing superheavy elements, and ensuim remains a theoretical target in this ongoing quest to expand the periodic table. Its discovery, if achieved, would provide valuable insights into nuclear physics and the behavior of elements with such high atomic numbers.
