dosisde

Dosisde is not a standard term in medicine or pharmacology. It appears as a concatenation of the Spanish words dosis (dose) and de (of), used to introduce a quantity of a substance. In actual practice, the phrase would be written with a space: "dosis de ..." and would refer to the amount administered. In medical texts, "dosis de" is followed by the substance and the amount, such as "una dosis de 50 mg de paracetamol."

Because of the space, "dosis de" is different from "dosisde" as a word; in data entry, search indexing, or programming, such concatenation may occur accidentally, creating a nonstandard token rather than a concept.

General concepts of dosing include the dose (the amount given at one time), the dosing schedule (frequency and duration), the route of administration (oral, intravenous, etc.), and the formulation (pill, solution, injectable).
