Dokumendisööturid, also known as document feeders or automatic document feeders (ADFs), are mechanical devices designed to automatically feed multiple pages of documents into a scanner, copier, or fax machine. This eliminates the need for users to manually place each page onto the flatbed glass, significantly speeding up the scanning or copying process for multi-page documents.

ADFs typically consist of a tray where loose sheets of paper are placed. Rollers and other mechanisms then pick up the top sheet and guide it through the device's scanning or copying path. Once the page has been processed, it is either ejected into an output tray or, in some cases, fed back through for duplex (two-sided) scanning. The capacity of an ADF varies, ranging from a few sheets to hundreds of pages, depending on the model and its intended use.

Modern ADFs often include features like automatic document orientation, blank page detection, and the ability to handle different paper sizes and weights. They are a common and essential component in office equipment, making document management and digitization more efficient. The technology behind ADFs has evolved to improve reliability, reduce paper jams, and accommodate a wider range of document types.
