DemComsv is a term used to describe a technique in formal concept analysis, a mathematical discipline that studies the structure of conceptual relationships. It refers to a specific method of compression or representation of a concept lattice, which is a type of Hasse diagram used to graphically represent the hierarchies of concepts.

In formal concept analysis, a concept is a pair of a set (extension) and a set of attributes that are common to all elements of the extension (intension). A concept lattice is a directed graph where nodes are concepts, and directed edges represent the sub-concept relationship between them. Each node represents a set of objects together with the set of attributes common to those objects. The directed edge between two nodes indicates that all objects in the source node are also in the target node, and the attributes of the source node include those of the target node.

The DemComsv method involves partitioning the concept lattice into two sub-lattices: one containing the original lattice and other containing its dual. This decomposition, known as duality, allows for a simplified representation of the concept lattice, resulting in reduced dimensions and a more simplified structure. The dual of a lattice is obtained by reversing the direction of all edges.
