cykelhjul
Cykelhjul, or bicycle wheel, is the fundamental component that provides mobility, steering, and stability to a bicycle. It consists of a rim, spokes (or centric spoked versions), a hub, and a tire mounted on the rim. The rim holds the tire and is usually made from aluminium, carbon fibre, steel or composite materials, each offering different stiffness, weight and durability characteristics. The hub contains the axle and bearings that allow rotation; it may also integrate braking surfaces or drivetrain components such as a cog or freewheel. The spokes provide structural support, transmitting bearing loads from the rim to the hub, and are tensioned during wheel building to achieve true geometry.
Wheel design varies with application. Road wheels typically feature thin, lightweight rims and high spoke count
Manufacturing methods include hand-building, which allows fine tension adjustments and custom geometries, and mass-produced discs, where
