Csavarkészít is a Hungarian term that translates to "screw making" or "screw manufacturing." It refers to the industrial process of creating screws, which are fasteners characterized by a helical ridge, known as a thread, that engages with a corresponding internal thread. This process typically involves several stages, beginning with the selection of appropriate raw materials, usually steel or other metals, which are then shaped through various mechanical operations.

The primary method for screw manufacturing is cold forming, also known as cold heading. In this process, wire is fed into a machine that cuts it to the desired length and then uses dies and punches to shape the head and shank of the screw. The thread is then typically rolled onto the shank using dies that impress the helical pattern. This method is highly efficient and produces strong, precise screws. Alternatively, hot forging can be used for larger or more complex screw designs, where the metal is heated before being shaped.
