Composition and variants: Typical mixes include cement content from 20 to 60 percent by volume, along with lime binder, fine aggregates such as sand, and water. Pozzolanic additives like fly ash or metakaolin may be added to improve workability and long-term durability. The choice of lime—hydraulic versus non-hydraulic—influences setting, vapor permeability, and thermal behavior.

Properties: The cement component provides early strength, while lime offers breathability, flexibility, and reduced shrinkage.
