Campania is a region of southern Italy, located on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its capital and largest city is Naples (Napoli). The region borders Lazio to the north, Molise to the northeast, Basilicata to the southeast, and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west. It includes a varied landscape: the volcanic area around Mount Vesuvius, the Campanian Plain stretching from Naples to Salerno, and the coastal areas of the Amalfi Coast and the Cilento region, as well as inland mountains such as the Matese range. The area is rich in archeological and cultural heritage.
