Cablings refers to the set of electrical, optical, or mixed cables used to carry power, data, and signals within a building, device, or system, and to the process of installing and organizing those cables. Installation considerations include minimizing crosstalk and EMI, respecting bend radii, maintaining separation between power and data, and comprehensive documentation. Regular testing, labeling, and color-coding aid maintenance. Cable management helps airflow and reduces heat buildup in dense environments like data centers.

Applications span offices, data centers, campuses, and industrial settings. Good cablings support scalable networks, reliable power delivery, and easier upgrades; conversely, poorly planned cabling can hamper performance and maintenance.
