Búvárruha is the Hungarian word for a wetsuit. A wetsuit is a garment, usually made of foamed neoprene, which is worn by surfers, divers, windsurfers, kayakers, and others engaging in water sports, providing thermal insulation, abrasion resistance and buoyancy. The neoprene is inflated with nitrogen gas, which provides thermal insulation. The thickness of the neoprene, and thus its insulating properties, varies depending on the water temperature and conditions. Thicker wetsuits are generally warmer but can restrict movement.
