Bucklingina is a genus of extinct trilobites belonging to the order Proetida. These small arthropods inhabited marine environments during the Devonian period, roughly 419 to 359 million years ago. Fossil evidence suggests that Bucklingina was widespread, with specimens found in various parts of the world, particularly in North America and Europe.

The characteristic feature of Bucklingina is its distinctive morphology. Like other trilobites, it possessed a segmented body divided into three lobes: a central lobe (glabella) and two side lobes, as well as a head shield (cephalon) and a tail shield (pygidium). The glabella of Bucklingina is often described as being relatively broad and sometimes inflated. The pygidium tends to be small and semi-circular. Their eyes were typically well-developed.

These creatures are thought to have lived on or near the seafloor, possibly as detritivores or scavengers, feeding on organic material. Their fossilized remains are typically found preserved in sedimentary rocks. The study of Bucklingina contributes to our understanding of trilobite evolution and the paleoecology of Devonian marine ecosystems. The genus is named in honor of paleontologist H. Buckland.
