A brændstofstik, often translated as fuel filler or gas cap, is a component of a vehicle's fuel system. Its primary function is to provide a secure and sealed opening through which fuel can be introduced into the vehicle's fuel tank. This component is crucial for preventing fuel evaporation, maintaining pressure within the fuel tank, and preventing the ingress of contaminants like dirt and water, which could otherwise damage the fuel system and engine.
