It is not widely recognized as a distinct mineral species in contemporary reference databases, and its use varies by region and source. In practice, biotsüklite is often treated as a historical or informal label, and its application may reflect misidentification with biotite, phlogopite, or other sheet silicates rather than a defined mineral with a formal chemical composition.

If the name is used descriptively, biotsüklite would be expected to belong to the mica group, which are phyllosilicates characterized by layered tetrahedral sheets linked by octahedral sheets. In such a framework, the interlayer cation is commonly potassium, with magnesium and iron occupying octahedral sites; however, the exact chemistry for any given specimen would be variable and not standardized.

Occurrence and formation of biotsüklite are not well documented in modern literature. Reported instances would likely originate from metamorphic rocks such as schists or gneisses, pegmatites, or granitic environments where biotite and related micas are commonly found. Any claims of biotsüklite would require careful verification to avoid misidentification with true biotite or other sheet silicates.

Physical properties, if applicable to a biotsüklite concept, would align with those of mica minerals: perfect basal cleavage, platy crystals, a vitreous to pearly luster, and a relatively low hardness around 2.5–3 with a moderate to low specific gravity. Definitive identification depends on petrographic analysis, X-ray diffraction, and chemical assays.
