Curing methods include ponding, spraying with water, covering with wet materials, or using curing compounds.

Advancements in betontechniken include self-compacting concrete, which flows into place and fills formwork without mechanical vibration, and fiber-reinforced concrete, which incorporates fibers to improve crack resistance and toughness.
