Beszédszervek, also known as speech organs, are the anatomical structures in the human body that are involved in the production of speech. These organs work in concert to generate and modify airflow from the lungs, creating the sounds we perceive as language. The primary components of the speech apparatus include the lungs, larynx, pharynx, oral cavity, and nasal cavity.

The lungs provide the essential source of airflow, acting as a bellows to push air upwards. This air then passes through the larynx, commonly known as the voice box. Within the larynx are the vocal folds, two muscular bands that can vibrate when air passes through them, producing sound. The pitch and volume of this sound are controlled by adjusting the tension and position of the vocal folds.

Above the larynx, the pharynx, oral cavity (mouth), and nasal cavity serve as resonance and articulation spaces. The pharynx acts as a passageway for air and food. The oral cavity is highly mobile, with structures like the tongue, teeth, lips, and hard and soft palate playing crucial roles in shaping the airflow and producing distinct speech sounds. The tongue, in particular, is a versatile articulator, capable of forming a wide range of shapes and positions. The teeth and lips help to obstruct or modify the airflow, creating consonants like 'f', 's', and 'p'. The soft palate, or velum, can be raised or lowered to direct airflow either through the oral cavity or the nasal cavity, distinguishing between oral and nasal sounds (e.g., 'm' vs. 'n').

The coordinated action of all these beszédszervek, under the control of the nervous system, allows for the complex and nuanced process of human speech.
