Avsendselabel is a term used in logistics information systems to denote the outbound shipping label created when an order is prepared for dispatch. The label serves as the physical and digital identifier for an outbound parcel, combining carrier routing information, the tracking number, customer and order identifiers, and service details. The term is encountered in multiple warehouse management and transport management platforms and is typically generated by the order fulfillment workflow at the point of pick and pack, or just before the carrier handoff.

A typical avsendselabel includes: a tracking or shipment number, recipient address, sender address, carrier code, service level, package dimensions and weight, and a timestamp. It is often encoded as a machine-readable barcode (such as Code 128 or GS1-128) and may also embed a QR code or RFID tag. The label can be printed on adhesive stock and affixed to the parcel or provided as a digital label in a shipment manifest. In digital workflows, the label is linked to the order in the ERP/WMS and used to verify the correct parcel during loading and handoff.

Relation to other labels: It is distinct from return labels or inbound labels used for goods coming back; it is specific to outbound shipments. In many systems, the avsendselabel is generated after address verification and payment capture and may be updated if the carrier changes service or route.
