Asyylikloridi is a class of organic compounds with the general formula RCOCl, where R is an alkyl, aryl, or other organic group, and Cl is a chlorine atom. These compounds are also known as acyl halides. They are characterized by the presence of a carbonyl group bonded to a halogen atom.
