The aim is to describe how the labor market develops over time and to support policy analysis and public debate.

Data sources and methods combine survey data and administrative registers. The core indicators come from the Labour Force Survey (Arbetskraftsundersökningen, AKU), which is ILO-compatible and conducted on a quarterly basis with monthly signals. Administrative registers from government agencies, such as the Public Employment Service and education or income records, complement the survey data. The statistics are harmonised with European definitions and published in formats compatible with Eurostat, enabling international comparisons.

Key indicators include employment levels and rates, unemployment levels and rates, and the labor force participation rate. In some cases, supplementary indicators such as vacancies or hours worked are included to provide a broader view of the labor market.

Data are regularly updated and revised as new information becomes available, with attention to comparability over time and with EU standards.
