Amplitudmis is a term used in theoretical discussions of signal behavior and perception to describe a proposed measure of how amplitude fluctuations in an input signal influence a system’s output. It is not an established quantity in standard engineering or cognitive science and has no universally accepted definition.

The label combines the word for amplitude with a suffix that signals a substantive concept. In speculative literature, amplitudmis is treated as a dimensionless index that increases as the relative variance of the signal’s amplitude grows, reflecting a system’s increased sensitivity to fluctuations rather than to the mean level alone.
