Algtegurids were a prominent dynasty that ruled in the North African region of Ifriqiya from the late 9th to the early 11th centuries. Their reign is considered a significant period in the history of the Maghreb, marked by both territorial expansion and cultural development. The dynasty was founded by Ibrahim ibn al-Aghlab, who was appointed governor of Ifriqiya by the Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid in 788.
