Zoonózisokra

Zoonózisokra refers to zoonotic diseases, which are infectious diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans. These diseases can be caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites, fungi, or prions. The transmission can occur through direct contact with an infected animal, through contact with animal feces, urine, or saliva, or through the consumption of contaminated animal products.

Examples of zoonotic diseases include rabies, which is transmitted through the bite of an infected animal, and Lyme disease, spread by tick bites. Salmonella and E. coli infections are often contracted by eating undercooked meat or poultry from infected animals. Avian influenza (bird flu) and swine flu are other well-known examples of zoonotic diseases that have caused significant concern.

The risk of zoonotic transmission is influenced by various factors, including human encroachment into animal habitats, the intensification of livestock farming, and international travel and trade. Public health efforts to prevent zoonotic diseases focus on animal surveillance, vaccination programs for animals, safe handling of animal products, and public education on hygiene practices, such as handwashing. In humans, early detection and treatment are crucial for managing outbreaks and preventing widespread transmission.
