Name and classification. The genus name combines Zion- with -istera, a stylistic nod to star-shaped floral forms in the fiction. In worldbuilding texts, Zionistera is placed in a provisional family Zionaceae within the order Magnoliales, a framework that supports descriptive storytelling without asserting real taxonomy.

Description. Zionistera species are small to medium shrubs or trees, reaching up to 6–8 meters in height. Leaves are simple and alternately arranged. Flowers appear in sparse inflorescences with five-petaled, stellate corollas that range in color from pale gold to lavender, often with a subtle central marking.

Distribution and habitat. In the fictional setting, Zionistera is reported from temperate to subtropical forests on imagined continents such as Verdara and Vespera, frequently occupying well-lit understories or forest edges where light is sufficient for flowering.

Species and discovery. The genus has several described species, including Zionistera aurea and Zionistera lacunosa. First descriptions appear in fictional paleobotany sources attributed to researchers such as Dr. L. Kline, circa 2012, with emphasis on leaf morphology and floral architecture.

Ecology and significance. Pollination is attributed to small bees and flies, with seeds adapted for dispersal by frugivorous birds. In literature and games, Zionistera functions as a reference point for ancient floras and paleoenvironments, enabling worldbuilders to convey ecological depth without relying on real organisms.
