Zerglings

Zerglings are a type of ground unit in the science fiction real-time strategy game StarCraft and its expansions. They are produced by the Zerg, one of the three playable races in the game. Zerglings are the smallest and weakest of the Zerg units, but they are also the most numerous and have the highest production rate. This makes them a staple of Zerg strategies, often used for harassment, scouting, and as a cheap and plentiful force multiplier.

Zerglings are produced at a Hatchery, which is the Zerg's equivalent of a base. They require 25 minerals to produce and take 17 seconds to complete. Once produced, Zerglings can be upgraded to Burrowed Zerglings, which gain the ability to burrow underground to avoid damage and attack from a distance. This upgrade requires 100 minerals and 100 gas.

Zerglings are weak individually, with a health pool of 35 and a basic attack that deals 5 damage. However, they are highly mobile and can attack multiple targets simultaneously. They are also immune to most Zerg abilities, making them a valuable asset in Zerg strategies.

In multiplayer matches, Zerglings are often used to harass enemy workers or to scout for enemy bases. They can also be used to defend against air units, as they are immune to air attacks. In single-player campaigns, Zerglings are often used to clear out enemy forces or to defend against enemy attacks.
